No Ordinary People...

This is a picture of Joe's Cousin Michelle Bancroft and her hubby Justin (I snitched the photo off her facebook account...I hope that's alright)!?!?! I know I posted about her a while back, but she's the cousin who has been fighting cancer in her cheek for a few years now. She just finished up radiation and isn't overly optimistic about the tumors being gone, but she's over another hurdle and prepared for the next should it come (flying to Maryland and becoming part of a new study to see if they can't do what no one else has been able to do...get ride of the cancerous tumors in her neck and cheek). You can read her whole story on her blog, I am still in awe of what she's survived!

Michelle and her husband Justin use to live in the basement apartment next door to us when we were all fairly newly married. We had some really great times back then! We were really close until work, school, new homes and new kids sent us packing in different directions! The last time we'd seen them was when she was pregnant with their second child and I had just found out I was pregnant with Ali (who's three and a half) and we didn't get back in touch until late last year! I feel so bad about letting so much time sneak by without making a greater effort to get in touch. I am very grateful, however, that we've been able to reconnect and feel as though so little time has gone by. They are a truly remarkable family and we feel so blessed to be a part of their lives.

So, here are some pictures I took of the kids, and some Brooklyn took for me! We had an awesome dinner and the kids had a blast playing in the back yard! Good times, good times!!!
