Graduation Celebration!!!

My big boys 'graduated' from school last week! Clay will begin 2nd Grade and Quin will begin Kindergarten on July 21st! How crazy is that?! Ali should begin Preschool this fall as well, but I haven't been able to find a preschool that is still doing the younger (age 4) group, with any available openings, it's a bit frustrating...(if anyone has any ideas, let me know, please)!!!

Anyhow, that's not what this post is about. This post is a celebration of my two boys and their wonderful accomplishments this past school year. So, I've included a few pictures we took at their graduations and the last day of school.

Quin receiving his 'diploma' from Mrs. Nelson. She was a really great teacher, I would definitely recommend her (tragically, she is only doing the older preschool class next year, :( so sad...).

Quin and Miss Melissa, his teachers assistant.

Quin during his Graduation Program.

This is Quin singing one of the songs he learned in school. We call it the Snowball song, I have no idea what its actual name is, but it's by far my favorite, we have him sing it at home all the time! (He often asks, "Why do you love me to sing so much?" "It's just SO DARN CUTE!!!" is what I say. - FYI, five year old boys do not want to hear this so I would recommend coming up with something more masculine to say to your own son).

These are a few of the songs from his program:

The dancing at the end of this one is priceless!

I love how they say abdomen...it cracks me up. In case you can't tell, they're singing about the anatomy of insects...yum!

Clay in front of Woods Cross Elementary School!

Clay and his FABULOUS 1st Grade teacher, Mrs. Scoggins....we will definitely miss her. She is an amazing teacher who is truly dedicated to her work and Clayton absolutely adored her.

This is Clay being a weirdo with his friend.

I am so pleased with the growth my boys have shown during the last year. Clay is reading like a champ and has become a real math whiz. Quin can recognize his letters and has shown vast improvements in his ability to socialize with others and vocalize his thoughts and feelings. I can't wait to see what changes another year will bring!
