The Updates Continue!!!

There is always so much going on I find it very difficult to stay properly updated. This is funny because it never really feels as though anything new or wonderful is happening...our life seems to be compiled of a series of small, seemingly insignificant events. It is, however, the only life we will be living and we intend to try and make the most of it!!

So, here are some of the more recent events from the past few weeks:

Easter Sunday was pretty fun. My sister Maggi and her husband Phil came over. Jena, James and Joseph (Phil's sister and her family) came over as well as Dave, a co-worker of my sisters. We had a really great Easter Lunch and then a pretty intense Easter Egg Hunt in the backyard.

Clay, Quin and Dave searching for eggs in the backyard.

The kids and I with our Boodle...so much boodle!

Jack found 2 eggs. Once he had acquired one for each hand, he sat down and just laughed and had a great time. He was pretty darn excited about his 2 eggs...it was really cute to watch him sit there shaking his eggs and laughing...very content!

Ali loved looking for eggs. She would stop every once in a while and pose for me! Her favorite part, by far, was eating the candy though...she loves sweets!

Quin got himself quite a few eggs. It was funny to watch though because there would be eggs right in front of him that he just couldn't find.....like the orange one he's reaching for, it took him a full minute to find that egg....he just couldn't see it! Hidden in plan sight!!!

I made Clay wait almost a full minute after the other kids went out because I knew he'd get to the eggs a lot quicker....he still ended up with the most eggs!

Jena did a really great Easter Lesson for us afterwards and then we all dove into the Raspberry Cream Pie for dessert! We played a few games while the kids devoured their Easter candy and then everyone went home. All the excitement helped to poop the kids out and they all slept rather peacefully...it was a really good day.

My eyes seem to be steadily improving. It is interesting, however, because when I went to my last check-up my left eye was healing quicker than my right. I've been testing my vision through both eyes and I can see perfectly clear through my right eye, but my left is still extremely blurry...weird, huh?!? In fact, I'm not really sure that it is any better than it was before the surgery, I think it might be worse. I will go in for my next exam next Thursday and hopefully I will be much improved by then, if not, I will be VERY put out!
On a more positive note, I have been able to resume most of my original activities, such as driving, blogging and, most importantly, playing Rockband!!! It's good to be back!

The boys got ahold of my camera the other day and had a really great time taking a few hundred pictures of each other and random parts of the house. Most of them were so blurry I had to delete them. I figure it's good practice for them, as long as they don't break my camera, again!

I had to include a pic of this. It is Ben's Art project. He was assigned to make a 3D Sculpture out of Junk. I thought it turned out really well. His teacher really liked it, that's always good!

Great pictures. Jack looks so different with his dark hair. Glad you are healing, hope the eye unblurs soon!

Great update! I love the sculpture at the end. We just did a "garbage collage" for Girl Scouts, but this one is way better than what we did!!!!!

That is weird about your eyes...keep us posted on that.

The egg hunt photos of your kids are darling!
