Ali wore the skirt I made to church Sunday with a white shirt and red cardigan, it looked SUPER cute! I was very pleased and decided to give it a second try.
Ali picked out a yellow print this time (go figure, it's her favorite) and I paired it with an orange under skirt and green top. I think it's just as cute as the first.
Ali's preschool teacher (whom we loving refer to as Mary Poppins - because no one we've ever met has been more like her) announced that her daughter delivered a baby girl last Friday. So, Ali and I decided she would need a new skirt for Sundays.
Thus, we embarked on yet ANOTHER skirt. I really loved how this one turned out. It's a dark brown with pink. We made her a cute little hair bow to go with it and I'm going to go buy a pink onesie for her to wear under it. The instructions gave measurements for a 6-12mth pattern, but didn't include what size to cut the elastic. So, I used a pair of Maxo's pants to 'guesstimate'. I had to then try the finished product on my model, just to be sure. It was a bit tight and I think I may have popped a seem doing it, but I think the finished product was pretty darn good! (Pardon the clashing red shirt and gray socks, but it was insulting enough that I was putting him in a skirt and hair-bow, I didn't feel the need to completely undress the boy and further his humiliation. He sure is cute though!)

Love the skirts! I would ask for the pattern but I don't sew. Ever. Sigh.
LOVE the white shirt and red cardigan touch... I bet she looked ADORABLE!!! And Max looks darling. :) He's not smiling in any of these pics... I think he's a bit too confused with the headband and pink. :)
WOW Audri!! You are so talented! Those skirts are adorable! You should sell them on etsy for 20-30 dollars a piece and I bet you people would by them!
who knew you could sew? I admire people with your sort of talent! And I admire people willing to put their baby boys in skirts and headbands....your little Max is such a good sport!! And SO cute!!! :)
