My computer is back in my possession. This is good news.
My computer is missing...almost everything. This is bad news.
I am missing all pictures from 2008-2009, my entire outlook file (contacts, emails, tasks, calendar, etc...), all of my internet bookmarks, and every document I've ever created (with the exception of the 10 I kept on my desktop). It is such a disability. Joe still has all of my documents and pictures saved on another hard drive, they just need to be put on the computer (they didn't make it over the first couple of times he did it). At least I still have them though. The outlook info, however, is another story entirely. We're pretty sure that's lost. Joe says we can pay somebody to find it, but it would cost a few hundred and I'd have to give up my computer for another week or two while they found it...not a very appealing option.
Anyhow, my computer woes aside, life is pretty darn good.
I'm 35 weeks now and when I saw the Dr on Friday, she said the baby was measuring 36 weeks...no need to worry about whether or not he's growing! She'll check me when I come in on the 10th and we'll see if my body is doing anything to prepare for his grand entrance into this world or not. Hopefully I will be well on my way to an early delivery. None of my kids have been very small, and they all measured right on. If this guy is going to be bigger than his siblings, he better get his bottom out a bit early...8lbs is plenty big enough!
The kids and I have been hanging out with my parents in ID this weekend. It's been nice to see them, although I feel bad for not being more useful. I am so big, awkward and probably more of a hassle than a help (especially with all of my little 'helpers' getting into the mix). I appreciate that they put up with us so well and they seem to be happy to have us come, almost as relieved as they are to see us go!
We are looking forward to spending some time up in Rexburg with my older sister and her family for the next few days. After that it's back to the homestead to get things ready for mister man's big arrival (which, as mentioned before, had better be just weeks away).
I brought our cruddy camera to take pictures while we are on the road, and I haven't taken a single shot yet. Such a slacker. I just hate taking pictures when I know they are going to have big black specks in them...so darn annoying. I talked to a friend yesterday though and she has given me some excellent suggestions on a new camera and I plan on looking into it rather seriously before the baby comes...can't have new baby pictures with big ugly black specks on them now can we?!
I had my 11 year class reunion yesterday, ya that's right, 11 year. We sort of dropped the ball last year and had to make plans for the following year so that the word had time to spread and reach everyone. I'm still a bit disappointed in having to show up almost 9 mths pregnant instead of showing up looking skinny, tan and HOT! Ok, so maybe that's a bit of a stretch, but I was definitely sporting a slimmer waist line last August than I happen to be sporting now. I've gained 30lbs exactly as of my last Dr. visit. Only three more lbs before I go over my highest weight gain...I most certainly hope I don't go over. It would be especially depressing...oh well, the sacrifices we make for our children...they will never know!
Anyhow, the reunion was a really great time. They had a family picnic during the afternoon which was a lot of fun for the kids and a great chance to chat with people I haven't seen in FOREVER. I can't believe how many people I had just simply 'lost track of'. I thought I had done a decent job of staying in touch, but apparently failed rather miserably. That evening they did an adult only dinner, which was super enjoyable. They had some great games, which in hindsight, I really should have sat out during, but I am weak against peer pressure and played against my better judgment. It was a TON of fun, but I am experiencing intense pain in just about every part of my body...very bad idea. Pregnant women really should not jump around on one leg or play intense games of musical chairs, especially when prizes are involved, and even more especially when they are fiercely competitive.
Joe and I got home super late, it was almost like back in the good old days when we actually went on dates! All in all I had a really great time and I was especially happy that Joe was able to make it up here and be with me. He is a great husband and I always have a good time when he's around!

Musical chairs sounds quite lovely!!! I hope you got some good laffs out of it. Sorry about your computer. :( And hooray for hanging out with the fam. I hope it's awesome! And hooray for a new camera!
Sorry I didn't get to see you at the reunion. I was being a party-pooper! (I wanted to have the hot skinny tan body, too--but you at least had the advantage of being pregnant...I have no excuse!). Actually, Kyle was out of town and my sister was IN town, so we were quite busy. Anyway--hope you have a good time in Rexburg. Take care, and call me next time you're in town!!
