I just can't say enough about how much fun Joe and I have been having on our trip so far! It has been so nice.
We decided we needed to get away and Joe surprised me (sort of) with a trip to Newport, RI. We stopped for two days in MA to visit Joe's family and then we're off to RI tomorrow morning to begin our week long sailing class. We'll be on the water from Sunday to Thursday and by Friday at 3:00pm we should be certified sailors!
I am very excited about the sailing, a little concerned because the course work we were given was a little overwhelming. I'm a bit anxious about completing everything in a satisfactory manner, but I'm convinced Joe and I will find a way to enjoy ourselves in the process!
I am also very pleased we stopped in MA to visit Joe's parents and siblings. We have truly had the best couple of days here. We did a bit of shopping, visited Hot Dog Annies, went to Flo's Farmstand and bought fresh veggies and icecream. I think I've cooked some of the best food the past couple of days and we've all eaten like KINGS (and Queens)! Joe spent the day putting up a new rope swing and I mowed half the field with the tractor, in the rain! We all ended up soaked and loved every second of it! We've ridden the 4-wheelers and ate lobster....who could ask for more?!?!?! In fact, I feel as though I'm bragging here. Please rest assured I'm not attempting to brag, I'm just having such a fabulous time. This is the longest trip we've taken away from the little ones (who are staying with my sister and brother-in-law, whom I love dearly! I'm pretty sure the kids won't miss us too much and I know they are in very good hands). I was a bit worried about being gone so long, but I have loved having so much time with Joe. It's almost as though we're dating all over again, only we know each other better, and it's funner that way!
Anyhow, we leave Worcester for Newport tomorrow morning and then we'll be out at sea until the 22nd. I'm definitely looking forward to it and I will post lots of great pictures (I hope) when I'm back home!
Until then, don't miss me too much and I hope you all have as good a week as I'm planning on having! Good luck to us all!!!
