I have to admit I had a really great time the past week visiting my family and friends in Idaho, but there is something so wonderful about coming home!! The kids were all pretty upset to leave Grandpa and Grandma's house and (since they're spoiled rotten when they're there) who can blame them?!?! They were, however, pretty excited to be home, once we arrived.
Now that things are unpacked, laundry is going and everyone has climbed into their deliciously soft beds, I think we're all breathing a big sigh of relief....or maybe it's just me!
I guess you just don't realize how much energy it takes to live out of a suit case! I mean, the constant washing of clothes and packing and unpacking....it takes a lot out of a person.
I really enjoy being with my parents, though, and I sometimes wish we were a lot closer so we could see them more frequently, but I guess it's also nice to have our own space. I'm pretty sure they'd get awful sick of us constantly 'dropping in' on them! We're a pretty noisy bunch when we come around!
We've got a few more family adventures planned for the rest of the summer and I'm really looking forward to them. The kids are all at a really good age for traveling and they have done remarkably well. I was sooo proud of how well behaved they were (that's not to say they were angels, but considering the long drives, close living quarters and new environments - they were spectacular)!! We spent most of the trip without Joe because of his work obligations, but we got along swimmingly and I'm getting pretty good at managing the kids on my own (I do have to admit, however, it's far more enjoyable when I can 'share the load' with him. He is so great with the kids and he helps out a ton).
I hope you all enjoyed the photo's from our trip. I charged my battery completely before we left and took over five hundred photos! The battery just couldn't keep up with me and died Saturday morning. I'll have to remember to pack the charger next time so I can get the WHOLE trip instead of just some of it! Oh well, live and learn, right?!

I can't believe you have 4 kids now. Crazy! They're adorable of course and I think the tie dye shirts are so cute.
How's life???

Sounds like you had a fabulous, very busy trip. I never knew how much work went into these little trips for the parents until I became a parent. Those are the fun things kids remember.
