Old Friends...

So yesterday I took the kids to Springville to visit an old college roommate of mine. We haven't seen each other since Quin was about one, that's about four years ago now.

These are pics from that visit, oh so long ago. Clay and Alison were about two at the time. I didn't have any good ones of Matthew or Quin.

Here are all the terds now! Big changes huh? I think my heard is getting a little out of control!

Here's a pic of Kristy and I. Clay took this and obviously we need to work on harnessing the power of the zoom button! (Not to mention the fact that I need to refrain from wearing horizontal stripes when getting pictures taken...I look like a double wide...oh well.)

Anyhow, as I was driving I started thinking that we really live very close and I just don't know why we don't see each other more. I suppose a big part of that is the fact that I am a really crappy correspondent. I am really bad at making plans and actually TRYING to get in touch with people. I have decided I need to be better and I promised myself I would work on that.

It was a lot of fun to reminisce about old times and see pictures from the college days, even though I look like a bug with my HUGE glasses (that covered half my face) and my bad hair and incredibly pitiful sense of style....oh well, not much I can do about that now! I had a lot of really great friends back then and I really miss not knowing where they are and what they are up to. I suppose I should have been a bit more dedicated in my efforts to stay in touch, I regret that now and hopefully I'll learn to be better in the future!

Oh, and on a completely unrelated side note, I finished another one of John Grisham's novels yesterday. It was Bleachers. It was a super quick read, I finished it in a couple hours, and I was really taken in. The entire book covers less than a weeks worth of time, but there is a great deal of musing, discussing and retelling of past events....it was interesting. I found myself immediately intrigued and involved in the characters and it was good. Definitely a good, quick and easy read.

Wow, how fun to get back with her! Things have changed for sure! It's so crazy to think how much just a few years immensely change (or sadly don't change) each of us!

I love the pics of the kids... it's like daily that I think about how you're just a few years older than me with four kids. Wow! And Will is a doll. I hope for the best.
