Last year our picture file (containing pictures from 2001 until 2006) was corrupted and we thought we'd lost all of them. Joe took the file and brought it to a guy who was able to find some of the lost files, but we are still missing huge chunks of them (especially in the years 2001, 2004, 2005 & 2006 - which is almost everything). Anyhow, I was looking through them and I can't believe how much has changed. Joe and I look like little kids!!! My children all look so much alike it is difficult to tell who's who...how time has changed us.
I wanted to include a few of the more memorable photos from the last eight years...
1999
This is Joe and I during our engagement at my sisters Wedding open house...I had a hickey on my neck and I remember my mother blatantly pointing it out in front of my grandmother...and a whole table full of people...it was humiliating...

These are some photos from our wedding. Notice the wedding rings...they are car key rings. I still remember Joe on the pay phone at the temple (cell phones weren't so common then) calling his brother to bring whatever car key rings he could find so we'd have something to wear. We wore them for two weeks...until the ones we'd ordered came in!
2000
Joe and I Para-Sailing on Utah Lake. We use to have a lot of fun, constant adventures, before the kids came along...now we live for dirty diapers, bruised knees and nap time!!!

This is Joe and I in Boston. We told his parents we were pregnant with Clay on this trip. I made the dress that I'm wearing for our first anniversary date...I got all dolled up and surprised him at work...it was a good time!
2001
This was the year baby Claydog joined our family. He is 1 week old in this pic. I can't believe he was ever this little.

Claydog is a couple months old in this pic.
2002

This is the infamous crash of Jan 1, 2002. We were rear-ended on the left side and I was swung out of my seatbelt and hit my forehead on the dashboard. My glasses cut through my face and cut me pretty bad. I got 26 stitches, some where on the inner layers of flesh because it was so deep. Way to start off the new year!!! (The car was totaled and all we were really worried about was the $100 in groceries we had just bought and put in the trunk of our car...Joe salvaged what he could...we were depressed about that for a while!)

This is a nasty habit of my children...they are toe suckers! Actually, they just have a bad habit of putting EVERYTHING in their mouths!!

Don't deny it...it's exactly what you would do if you were 1 and had your very own Cotton Candy Machine! Joe always said he wanted one...I didn't believe him until I was shelling out the $ to buy and industrial size Cotton Candy Machine (while we were still living in a one bedroom apartment)!!! I swear we do have priorities...perhaps not the right ones.
2003
Quinner joined our family this year. These are my big boys a couple months after Quin was born...so cute!

These are pics of our little playgroup at the zoo. Clay loved going fun places with them. I miss getting together with my friends.

My older sister got married this year. Clay, Quin, my parents and I flew back to Mass for the wedding. It was a lot of fun.

Halloween. Goldilocks and The Three Bears. I made all of our costumes - of course - and I thought they turned out pretty cute (at least the bears look good, I look like I need to re-dye my roots!!)

This is our family on Christmas.
2004
Joe went Scuba Diving for Lobster while we visited Mass...I was unable to join him because I was pregnant with Ali...go figure! He couldn't keep this one because it was TOO big - it was enormous!!!

My favorite pumpkin carving. I did this one of George Bush and I've never been able to recreate it....I was so proud.

This is Quin...I sometimes have to look twice to tell which kid is which...he just turned 1 in this pic.
2005
Ali girl joined our family in Feb of this year. (Of course I'm missing the first 9 MONTHS worth of pics for this year...and the first 8 mths of her life...go figure.) This is a pic of Ali while we were in Boston. She is 9mths old. Even with all that hair she still looks so much like her brothers...just more girly!

This was the year Clay broke his leg. He was climbing out of the neighbors tree and got his leg caught. I hauled him around for weeks...he was so heavy!
.JPG)
Halloween. We are The Three Little Pigs, One Big Mommy Pig and The Big Bad Wolf...Yes, I made these costumes as well. I used the kids pjs as patterns and they whipped up pretty quickly...Precious, I know!

The kids on Christmas morning.

I went Ice fishing for the first time. I LOVED it! It was really cold, but we caught some BIG fish, and it didn't hurt that I caught more than my brother and father (they'd both been many times before...yup, I'm that good!)

My baby started Kindergarten. I was very ready for him to start school, I just wasn't ready to feel so old. This made me feel really, really old.

This is our family during the summer just after we found out we were expecting baby number four. We had a very good summer...life was GOOD (it still is good, just different)!
2007
This was Jacko's year. He joined us in March. He looks so little in this pic.

We climbed to the caves at Mt. Timpanogas with Joe's family. I was surprised we made it when you consider the number of small children..and that there were more of them than adults! Jack was 4mths old..go us!!

Joe and I had our very FIRST (this sounds sad considering we've been married eight years) getaway WITHOUT ANY CHILDREN, OR RELATIVES!!! It was nice....very, very nice! We spent a weekend in Denver, CO skiing and shopping. Next time we'll stay away longer...if, I mean when, we get a 'next time'!

I know you are all probably thinking this was an eternally LONG post, but give me a break it was EIGHT YEARS worth of crap in a couple of pages...I did my best!
Oh, there is so much to comment on! You look SO young in the engagement photo...well, you still do! I love the ring story! I can't believe how cute your costumes are. Oh, and I love the photo of Clay, Amelia and Riley. Remember how much fun we used to have? Man, I miss you!
It is amazing how much time has passed and all the things we have all been through. I was thinking about that accident you had when I was driving the other day, weird huh?! I should look through my pics too, but I still have tons of the kids younger not scanned in yet. I enjoyed looking thru your years!
Wow, what an awesome post! I love the Goldilocks and the 3 bears picture... it's hilarious! (And the comment on the roots!!!)
What a fun reminisicing of the times... what an incredible life! And it can only continue to get better!!!
Love the pics - do you like the hair? I love changing my hair - anything NEW.
