Here is our little, or not so little, family the Sunday before Christmas. So much has happened during the last month...I'll have to do a bit of catching up I think....

As you may have noticed Ali got her first haircut! She has been getting bald spots on the top of her head so we were forced to cut her hair and alleviate some of the tension on her scalp. We took over 8 inches off. She looks really cute with the new haircut and it is a breeze to do her hair now!

I've been working on this quilt for the past two and a half years. I brought it with me to Mass and got a lot of work done on it there. I was able to finish it the first week of December and it is now hanging on my wall in the front room...I love it! It feels so good to know it's done!

Clay has been doing really well in school. He got his first 100 on a spelling test and he was very proud of it. He's out of school until next week, but he is excited to go back and keep learning. He is reading really well now and loves the Junie B. books...I even find them entertaining. I highly recommend them.

I quit nursing Jack when we got back from Mass. He is now on bottles and I'm working on getting him to sleep in his crib all night. I've gotten him to stop eating during the night, but he still fusses and won't stop until I bring him into bed with me. I don't sleep that well with the kids so close, so I'm working on breaking the habit...I just need to get serious about it...that is proving difficult. He is too darn cute!

The kids made their gingerbread house a couple of days before Christmas. I used the frosting to glue it all together and then let them go to town putting all of the candy on it. I was very impressed with Ali - last year she just ate the candy, this year she actually helped put it on the house! It was a lot of fun.

I have always wanted to learn how to solve a Rubik Cube but I've always been very overwhelmed with the thought of even trying. Joe bought one last month and I decided to give it a go. I spent about two hours on it but finally finished! I've been practicing and can do it in under ten minutes now, and completely without cheats...not to shabby!

Ali's haircut is really cute! I also can't believe how much Jack has grown up. You'll have to let me know next time you may be up this direction and we should do something!
