I can do it ALL BY MYSELF!!!

That is what my 2 year old daughter told me the other day while she was putting on her pajamas. Does anything look wrong to you? I mean, besides the fact that the top and bottoms don't go together, the bottoms are inside out and she has both legs through one hole...Nope, nothing's wrong!

This is a, late, picture of Quin on his first day of preschool. He is such a handsome boy! His teacher had a baby in September so school didn't start until October 1st...it was a long summer!

I bought myself a pair of rain galoshes and I am totally in love with them. They are a bit on the dorky side, but I am a mother of four who doesn't own a single article of clothing that is stain free, I've been seen sitting on the toilet by at least half the neighborhood children and well, I just don't think a pair of tacky galoshes are going to bring me down much further...can you sink any further?

On another note, I have discovered a new talent. Clay has always been interested in art, drawing, painting, etc... He decided he wanted to paint a picture out of one of his books while he was off track the beginning of October. So, I decided we would each paint the picture and it has become a really fun pastime of ours. In fact, I have enjoyed myself so much, I have started finding pictures in the kids books and painting them while the kids are at school. I have never considered myself very artsy, but I am really enjoying it and I feel like I'm improving (the jury is still out on that). Anyhow, I thought you might enjoy some of our masterpieces!

This is our first painting from the book, 'Today at School' By Matt Ringler Illustrated by George Ulrich. This is Clay's rendition. It is my favorite of them all. I love it!

This is from the book, 'Five Little Pumpkins' By Dan Yaccarino. This is Clays.
We only had room on our paper for four of the five pumpkins, so we've titled ours 'Four Little Pumpkins'. So creative, I know!

This isn't one of my favorites, but I had a house full of kids at the time and NO ability to concentrate!

The duck and the frog are on the same page in the book, but I did them in separate paintings. They are two of my favorites. I love wildlife pictures.

This is Quins painting of a Vampire. He is amazing. He sure had a good time doing it!
