He really is enjoying it though and he always has a great time while he is there. It will take a while before he adjusts and learns to love and appreciate the opportunity to learn and grow......some day......I hope.
I am very excited about him starting school because he and Clay are both in afternoon and so on Tuesday and Thursday I am down to ONE CHILD!!! I can't believe how easy life is with only one, it makes you wonder what you could possibly have been thinking when you decided to have more. Not to say we don't love each of our children dearly, because we do, but it's hard to remember how calm our lives were before we had more. The craziness it worth it though and we wouldn't change it for the world!

We took a trip to Idaho a few weeks ago and had a lot of fun catching up with a bunch of my old friends from High School. It is hard to believe how much has changed for all of us. Almost everyone has married and started families and others are busy adding to them. There are a few who are still single, but their numbers are dwindling. I still don't think any of us are old enough to be married, much less have children, but before we know it we will be gray and old! It's MADNESS!!!
I had to include a couple funny pics of the kids while we were at my parents. Ali is trying to escape in her diaper and shoes (I told you she had a shoe fettish. Who needs clothes when you can put on a cute pair of shoes and look fabulous?!?!)

Quin is laying on my parents floor eating a piece of cheese. I get a big kick out of him. We tried potty training this weekend while Joe was home and it was an absolute DISASTER! I can't even count the pairs of underwear I threw away because he went #2 in them and I didn't have the stomach to clean them out. Not to mention the number of times I was stirred from my slumber to change an 'accident'. I think that even if he was ready, I certainly am NOT ready for him to be trying to potty train. It is such a messy business. Some day though, we will get it down some day.......hopefully!
In other news, Joe just returned this weekend from his 5 day scout camp, canoeing trip. They canoed for the entire week and he was pretty beat up when he got home. I have gotten pretty use to him being out of town, but I have to acknowledge a very EXTREME difference between being out of town with and without cell coverage. I left more voice messages than anyone else and I KNEW he wouldn't have cell coverage, I was just hoping that he might! Needless to say, even though Joe has left, yet again, out of town for the week, I am holding up pretty well because he is only in Denver and he usually has coverage. It is such a relief and I enjoy hearing about his day, good or bad.
Not much else is new. Ali and I are enjoying the days we have to ourselves and we're grateful when the boys get home and help to entertain us. I start school in two weeks and am not really looking forward to it. Hopefully it will go by quickly and I will be able to do well and make it worth the time and money we are putting into it. We shall see.
We hope you are all well and we'll blog again soon....I think!

I amaze myself with what I get done with only one kid...and I only have two! Quin looks adorable...I'm sure I'll have a similar picture on Mikayla's first day in a couple of weeks!
Hey, I love all the pictures, and Ali makes a good point...all you need are cute shoes!
